BME280 sensor

The compact  BME280 is the sensor that helps to map the environmental conditions so that you are always aware of the situation around your project. Temperature, humidity and air pressure are part of the BME280's arsenal, making it versatile.

The BME280 communicates via the I²C (inter-integrated bus) or the SPI interface and can therefore handle almost any microcontroller. Because the BME280 has a low standby consumption, it is ideal for any IoT application. A weather station, an air quality sensor for your home or a multi-sensor to monitor the humidity of your peppers in your greenhouse, the BME280 can do it all!

Please check the tab 'technical specifications' for the advanced technical details. Trough our download page we will get you started by means of an example code to read the sensor and an electrical connection diagram.

Useful to know:

The BME280 uses I2C to communicate with a uC, the defaut addres for this sensor is 0x76. To help you get started quickly, we've written an example code [link github] for Arduino and created a YAML file for Home Assistant so you can get started right away!
